YOUR WORDS SHAPE YOUR THOUGHTS
AND EMOTIONS

We are bombarded every day by thousands of messages and information. Especially today, the media is filled with negative information and news so we are unconsciously trained and programmed to feel anxious and on alert. Happy days.

This environment doesn’t make it easy for us to stay positive , and especially for us over thinkers. But there are simple steps that you can do to rewire your thought process.

I will share one step with you in this blog with you.

I am inviting you to pay attention to them, you use them all day long, even when you are not talking. They have a hidden power: Words.

It’s like magic really, the unconscious mind filters any negative words and clings onto the ‘good ones’. As an example, if you say to yourself: I don’ t want to be anxious anymore, the unconscious mind will register: I want to be anxious. So what’s the secret?

Re-structuring your sentences so that you can guide yourself on your healing journey. Instead you could say: I want to be happy, or I want to be relaxed. To make this exercise easier in the first instance, take a pen and a notepad and start writing down how you want to feel. Use positive words! And don’t be shy, nothing will be presented to you unless you are ready to deal with it. That’s how it works.

Words such as TRY and SHOULD must be handled with care. TRY leaves room for failure, and SHOULD is linked to external expectations that are not necessarily resonating with your inner wishes.
